Home
This site is a source on the Internet about the history of Nurse Uniform in the United Kingdom (UK) and other countries (USA, Hong Kong, Japan, etc.). The pictures of this site date from 1930 till 2018. A large amount of images shows nurses in real life. But also actresses, models in the media and models in fashion wearing nurse uniforms are collected.
This site is a long-term project and has been maintained and developed by Usermaatra0069 since 2007. Some say it's a monks work. Today there are more than 10,000 images on this site.

What's new on this site?
New additions to this site..February 2021
- Made a new logo and a new layout for the site. The colours looks more medical, the older one was quite dark. It was time for a change.
- I searched for pictures that didn't exist anymore and could find some from the archive.
- I searched for images that are double in the database, not the picture itself but the filename.
- I made some changes to the database.Three tables are obsolete, a new one has been made.
- Added the following pages: 365 (33 images), 418 (35 images) and a new page 451 (36 images). The last one is filled with images found in the archives.
- The 'nurses uniform' page was very big. It contained 'the national' and 'the newcastle'. These are now seperated from 'nurses uniform'. Newly created images: The national uniform dress and The newcastle uniform dress.
- I see in some pages that the description of the image is unclear, it contains not the year and not the country. I fixed this for all the images of Nurses in the Media.

- Newly created pages: Barco uniforms, Nurse Group Portraits, Charing Cross Hospital, Manchester Royal Infirmary, Poole hospital, St. Mary's Hospital, Westminster Hospital, Cadet Nurse and Hospice Nurse.
- Some technical changes: the menu system, the gallery of images react now on which screen size the visitor has and finally this website now using PDO driver for handling the database.
- The N.U.P.P. section has been edited, added some buttons.
- The Angels pages have been redesigned to a more modern look, but keeping the archaic style.
- I found on the internet a source to look at the episodes of The Royal and updated some of the pictures of that page. Thanks 'RetroUk11' for hoarding those vids and keeping them online.
